RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC baseball weekly awards for the final week of the regular season. Southeastern Oklahoma State’s JJ Bush won Player of the Week and Ouachita Baptist’s Chase Oberle earned Pitcher of the Week.

#theGAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JJ Bush, RF, Southeastern Oklahoma State, Sr., Corpus Christi, Texas
Bush hit .500 with four home runs to help the Savage Storm take two of three against East Central. In game one, he homered twice and scored three runs. In game two, he hit homered twice, including a game-tying home run in the 11th inning, of an 11-9 victory. He scored three times and drove in three. In game three, he walked and scored in a weather-shortened win.

#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Chase Oberle, SP, Ouachita Baptist, Gr., Justin, Texas
In his final start of the regular season, Oberle threw the second complete game of his career as he defeated rival Henderson State, 6-3, on Thursday. He tallied a career-high 12 strikeouts as part of the 145-pitch outing. He struck out multiple batters in four innings. The Tigers went on to sweep the series and clinch a spot in this week’s GAC Baseball Championships.
