RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the men’s and women’s golfers of the week for the final week of the fall season. Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Jack Phillips earned the men’s honor while the Bulldogs’ Freya Sala captured the women’s accolade.

#theGAC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Jack Phillips, Fr., Southwestern Oklahoma State, Sydney, Australia
Phillips collected his second Golfer of the Week award of the fall after he won the medalist honor at the Tulsa Cup. He entered the final round tied for first place before he carded a 2-under par 70 to win by two strokes. He made six birdies in that round. He led the 90-player field in par-4 scoring, 4.00.

#theGAC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Freya Sala, Jr., Southwestern Oklahoma State, Mexico City, Mexico
Sala repeated as the Women’s Golfer of the Week after she finished third at the Tulsa Cup. She opened play with a 3-under 69 round that featured four front-nine birdies. After a tough second round, she rebounded with 3-over 75 to move up three positions in the individual competition.
