RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the volleyball players of the week for the eighth week of the 2024 season. Southeastern Oklahoma State’s D’Nari Mills won Offensive Player of the Week while Harding’s Tatum Fouche and Olivia Wiedower earned Defensive Player and Setter of the Week, respectively.
#theGAC VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – D’Nari Mills, OH, Southeastern Oklahoma State, Jr., Cypress, Texas
Mills led the GAC by averaging 5.50 kills and 6.67 points per set after the Savage Storm scored home wins against Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas. She totaled 12 kills, 12 digs and four blocks in a sweep of the Blossoms. One day later, she came up with 21 kills and hit .462 in a sweep of the Muleriders. She hit .368 for the week.
#theGAC VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tatum Fouche, DS, Harding, Sr., Frisco, Texas
Fouche totaled 46 digs in home wins against Southern Nazarene and Oklahoma Baptist as the Lady Bisons moved into sole possession of second place with five conference games remaining. She finished with 21 digs in a three-set contest against the Crimson Storm. She followed up with 25 digs against the Bison.
#theGAC VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK – Olivia Wiedower, S, Harding, So., Conway, Arkansas
Wiedower averaged 11.75 assists per set in helping the Lady Bisons collect victories against Southern Nazarene and Oklahoma Baptist. In their sweep of the Crimson Storm, she tallied 42 assists and nine digs. She added a .600 attack percentage thanks to six kills and no errors. In a five-set win against the Bison, she finished with 52 assists and 14 digs.
