#theGAC WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Allison Hylkema, Jr., Ouachita Baptist, Jackson, Tennessee
Hylkema captured the title in the 5,000-meter run at the Samford Invitational. He finished more than 11 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, her teammate Mackenzie Davis. Her time of 18:17.10 set a personal record. She cut more than 12 seconds off of her prior best. Her time ranks as the second-fastest in the GAC.
#theGAC WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Anisha Henderson, Sr., Oklahoma Baptist, Plano, Texas
Henderson placed fourth overall, first amongst Division II competitors, in the long jump at Oklahoma’s Owen Hewett Invitational. Her top effort, 6.05 meters, represented the first time she cleared 6.0 meters at an indoor meet. Her jump ranks second in Division II.
