RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s and men’s golfer of the week for the fourth week of the spring season.  Southern Arkansas’ Aubrey Marx garnered the Women’s accolade while Harding’s Jose Manuel Peralta claimed the Men’s honor.

Marx overcame a five-shot final-round deficit to take home the individual title at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational. An opening round of 6-over par 76 placed her in a tie for 21st. She posted the low round of the tournament, an even-par 70, to force a playoff with Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Agathe Lacoste – a playoff she won on the second hole.

#theGAC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Jose Manuel Peralta, Jr., Harding, Madrid, Spain
Peralta earned the first tournament victory of his collegiate career as he won the Shadow Valley Invitational by six shots. He carded consecutive rounds of 2-under 70. His second round featured four-straight birdies on the front nine. At 4-under par, he finished as the lone golfer under par for the event. The No. 21 Bisons captured the team title by four shots.
