RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC women’s soccer players of the week for the ninth week of the season. Southern Nazarene’s Bella Morgas and Adison Johnson claimed the Offensive and Defensive Player honors. Harding’s Maysa Willis earned the Goalkeeper award.

#theGAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Bella Morgas, F, Southern Nazarene, Jr., El Paso, Texas
Morgas, the GAC’s leading scorer, registered her second-career hat trick after she found the back of the net three times in the Crimson Storm’s 4-0 victory against East Central. She opened the scoring with a goal in the 18th minute. She doubled SNU’s advantage with a 41st-minute tally. She completed the hat trick when she scored on an assist from Gabriella Ponce.

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Adison Johnson, D, Southern Nazarene, Jr., Aurora, Colorado
Johnson helped the Crimson Storm secure their fifth shutout of the season after she played all 90 minutes in their 4-0 home win against East Central. The Southern Nazarene defense did not allow a shot in the first half. It allowed just four shots on goal for the. Offensively, she assisted on two of Morgas’ goals and on Gabriella Ponce’s 50th-minute goal.

#theGAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Maysa Willis, GK, Harding, Jr., Bentonville, Arkansas
Willis made a total of seven saves and gave up just one goal as the Lady Bisons picked up home wins against Southwestern Oklahoma State and Northwestern Oklahoma State that moved them into first place with two games remaining. She made six saves in a shutout of the Bulldogs. She lowered her goals-against average to 1.14.
