Ponce scored twice in the Crimson Storm’s 4-0 road win against East Central. She opened the scoring with a second-minute goal off an assist from Bella Morgas. In the 26th minute, she doubled the Crimson Storm’s advantage with her third goal of the season.
#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Avery Pyle, D, Southern Nazarene, Sr., League City, Texas
Pyle played 84 minutes in the Crimson Storm’s 4-0 road win against Central. She led a Crimson Storm defensive effort that limited the Tigers to nine shots, three on goal. The win represented their third shutout of the season – and their first this year against a GAC foe.
#theGAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Taylor Hapgood, GK, Ouachita Baptist, So., Edmond, Oklahoma
Hapgood extended her scoreless streak to 325:37 after she recorded road shutouts against Southwestern Oklahoma State and Northwestern Oklahoma State. She made five saves as part of a scoreless draw with the Bulldogs. She made a season-high seven saves in a 1-0 win against the Rangers. She lowered her goals-against average to 1.58.
