The Hogeye & Poteau Fire Departments partnered as hosting agencies for a Hazmat Operations Class.
Approximately 20 Firefighters from LeFlore County (and surrounding areas) spent two weekends in a row (40+) hours working to learn new skills to better protect our communities that we serve.
We would like to thank Fire Service Training and Homeland Security for conducting the instruction and testing.
Thank you to the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and Delton Cox D4 for allowing us to host the training at your community center.
Thank you to MJ Agency, First National Bank, Tote-A-Poke, Tony Riley, George Misty Haney, & The Dorey’s for your donations to assist in providing Firefighter meals, drinks, and snacks each day.
Thank you to Julia Haney, Misty Haney, and Vicki Dorey for your help in cooking, serving, and cleaning!
Fire Departments involved include: Hogeye, Poteau, Monroe, Howe, Hodgen, Spiro, Arkoma, Idabel, and Broken Bow.
Thank you to our local Firefighters that attended.
This was a huge commitment of time and effort!!
