Poteau 7th & 8th Grade Center has announced their August 2023 Students of the Month.
The 7th grade Students of the Month are Moriah Painter and Hammond Yandell. The 8th grade Students of the Month are Ava Hasley and Deacon King.
Moriah is the daughter of Tim and Lindsay Painter. Her electives are softball, basketball, and keyboarding. She likes school because “I get to learn and to see friends.” She is a member of NJHS.
Hammond is the son of Chad and Kendra Yandell. His electives are cross country and library. He likes school because “I can learn things that I will need to be successful.” He is a member of NJHS and Library Staff.
Ava is the daughter of Joshua Hasley, Alicia Skinner, Taylor Jo Hasley, and Time Skinner. Her electives are Intro to ag, FACS, and band. She likes school because “I get to see my friends and it’s not that hard so why not.” She is a member of FCCLA.
Deacon is the son of Keno King and Johanna King. His electives are weightlifting, athletics, and leadership. He likes school because “I get to hang out with friends and I can get a good education.
