According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, an Arkansas couple was injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred on May 28, 2018, on State Highway 10 just south of Oaks Road, 1.3 miles east and 16.2 miles north of Tahlequah, in Cherokee County.
According to the report, a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Frank E. Blowers 47, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and his passenger, Angela L Blowers, 48, of Siloam Springs were wa northbound on SH10 when a dog entered the roadway, the motorcycle struck the dog, causing the motorcycle to depart the roadway to the right.
Frank Blowers was transported by Cherokee Nation EMS to Washington Regional Hospital and released.
Angela L. Blowers was transported by First Flight to Washington Regional Hospital and was admitted in unknown condition with head, arm, leg, trunk internal, and trunk external injuries.
The accident was investigated by OHP, Illinois River Fire Department, Oaks Fire Department, Cherokee Nation EMS, and First Flight.
