OBN’s Human Trafficking Unit served an Arrest Warrant this morning tied to an investigation of a female being trafficked out of an Oklahoma City hotel near I-40 and Meridian.
“OBN was notified by another law enforcement agency of a possible victim of human trafficking they discovered during a recent, unrelated encounter. Upon investigation, our agents found significant evidence that the victim was being trafficked.” —OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward
Just before noon today, OBN Human Trafficking agents located and arrested Michael Martinez (DOB 8/30/1985). He was transported to the Oklahoma County Detention Center where he faces multiple charges, including Human Trafficking.
“We are extremely fortunate to separate this victim from her trafficker and offer her recovery assistance. And we want other victims of human trafficking to know they don’t have to be afraid, they are not alone, and help is available.” —OBN Director Donnie Anderson
