According to a press release from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, at approximately 7:10 am on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, OHP Troop J headquarters received reports of a crop dusting plane that had crashed near State Highway 45 and Garland Road, about one mile north of Enid city limits in Garfield County.
OHP has confirmed that the plane was owned by Deterding Aerial Spraying.
The plane was occupied by one person, the pilot, who is confirmed deceased.
He is identified as Rodney Sherry, age 52, from Olton, TX.
OHP reports that the plane hit a guideline wire and crashed to the ground in a field.
