New this year, adult residents and nonresidents can hunt and harvest all deer allowed within the Oklahoma muzzleloader bag limit with just a deer muzzleloader license and an annual hunting license.
The new deer muzzleloader license is $36 for residents ($501 for nonresidents) and allows hunters to take up to four deer (no more than one antlered), all of which count toward the hunter’s combined season limit of six deer. Learn more about changes to deer license requirements here.
Youth under 18 years old need only the new youth annual super hunting license to hunt deer with a muzzleloader. The same license covers the youth for all other hunting that requires a license in Oklahoma (federal permits and licensing rules still apply). Learn more about the youth annual super hunting license here.
The new license structure is a change from previous years, in which most annual hunting license buyers had to purchase and carry a separate license for each deer hunted throughout archery, muzzleloader and firearms seasons.
With youth deer gun season running Oct. 18-20 and deer muzzleloader season slated for Oct. 26 – Nov. 3, the next step is clear – get your hunting license and be ready!
