Crappie good around docks early morning and on spoons with small crappie jigs above lure along ledges dropping from 29-55 ft. deep the rest of the day. Rainbow trout excellent on in-line spinnerbaits, PowerBait and spoon along channels and rocks. All colors of garlic scented PowerBait have been producing good numbers of fish. Metallic Super Dupers with slow-medium rate of retrieve have been very productive as well. Fly fishermen have given good reports of trout biting zebra midges, pheasant tailed nymphs and a wide variety of bead headed nymphs under a small indicator fished in the current seems behind current breaks. Fishing this week has been good. Striped bass good on live shad, sassy shad and slabs along channels, main lake, points and river channel. Striper are being caught on live shad very well. They are also being caught dead sticking. Blue, channel and flathead catfish fair on cut bait, dough bait, goldfish, live shad, stinkbait and sunfish along channels, docks, flats and points. Catfish are being caught on juglines and rod-and-reel with live shad in 8-18 ft. of water. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs, minnows, nymphs, plastic baits, PowerBait small lures and tube jigs around brush structure, channels, coves, docks, points and standing timber.
