It’s reported that 148 legislators and state dignitaries competed in the contest.
“Jaylee was such a good sport to let me show her heifer during this contest,” Grego said. “I appreciate all her hard work, which has earned her a spot at what is known as the world’s largest junior livestock show.”
OYE annually draws more than 7,500 4-H and FFA exhibitors from all 77 counties to compete at the state championship. Since 2002, the expo has provided $2.3 million in higher education scholarships to more than 1,000 Oklahoma students.
