Lee Edward Cranfield, known to many as “Otis,” passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lee leaves behind a large and loving family, including his wife, Connie. He is survived by his sons: Jarrett “Kendall” Cranfield and wife Jordan of Poteau; Kameron Cranfield and wife Natalie of Yukon; Josh Cranfield and wife Shania of Tulsa; and Kenneth Patton and husband Michael of St. Petersburg, Florida.
He is also survived by his stepchildren: Chase and Sarah Smith; Shantal Smith and Auston Reed; Shasta and Sean Naylor; Shandra Smith and Devin Sherrill; Dillon and Callee Lewis; along with many beloved grandchildren.
Lee is survived by his brother, Robby Cranfield and wife Cindy, as well as his sisters, Teresa Benson and husband T.C. Benson, and Cora Self and husband Rosco Self. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Cranfield; his father, Ed Cranfield; and his stepson, Payton Lewis.
Lee was the person everyone called when they finally admitted they couldn’t fix something themselves. They knew he would either know how to fix it or find a way to figure it out. He was dependable, always there when you needed him, and someone you could truly count on.
Lee fought hard against cancer, but we lost him too soon to this unforgiving disease. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Contributions can be made in Lee’s name to Freedom House Fellowship Building Fund or Holt Funeral and Cremation for funeral expenses.
The Celebration of Life Services for Lee will be held 2pm – Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Freedom House Fellowship 20977 Independence Road Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Sam Dyer and Robby Cranfield officiating. The Family of Lee Cranfield will greet friends from 5PM – 7PM on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma. At Lee’s request, he asked that all his friends and family be listed as his Honorary Casket bearers.
