Wanda is survived by:
Her life partner, Raymond Easley
Numerous family members, cousins, friends, and members of her quilting community
Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved son, Terry Joe Wiles, with whom she is now reunited; her first husband, Bill Wiles; and her second husband, Charley Cleaver.
Wanda was a life-long resident of Panama, Oklahoma. She retired after many years of service at Walmart, where she was well known for her warm smile and friendly greetings to customers. She also shared her love of quilting with students in the Shady Point School after-school program, teaching them the value, patience, and skill involved in the art of quilting.
Wanda was a devoted member of the Belle Point Quilters Guild since 1984. She enjoyed traveling to local and national quilting meetings and competitions, where she built lasting friendships and continued sharing her passion for quilting with others. Quilting was an important part of Wanda’s life. With steady hands and a creative spirit, she turned simple pieces of fabric into meaningful works that brought comfort and enjoyment to family and friends. Each quilt reflected her care, patience, and attention to detail. Her greatest joy was her son, Terry Joe, and his memory remained close to her heart throughout her life. Though her sewing room is now quiet, her work and influence live on through the quilts she made and the many people whose lives she touched. Her memory will be carried on by those who knew and loved her.
Per Wanda’s request, there will be no services. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral & Cremation Center of Poteau, Oklahoma. LeFlore County’s Only Onsite Crematory
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1–3
