Judy is survived by her family: her son, Jeremy Thompson, and his wife, LeAnn, of Paris, Arkansas, their sons, Braiden and Gage; her daughter, Crystal Thompson Webster, and her husband, Tim, and daughter Holly of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her sister, Sheron Braden of North Richland Hills, Texas; and her brother, Bill Amend of McAlester, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her chosen granddaughter, Hayley Swindle Barrera, and her husband, Alan, of Springdale, Arkansas, as well as a large, vibrant extended family that she loved beyond words, including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Judy was reunited in peace with her parents, Erdice and LaHoma Jo Amend; her husband of 36 years, Lucian Thompson; and her cherished identical twin sister, Jane Calhoun.
A Celebration of Life Services for Judy will be held from 2pm – 4pm – Saturday, August 1, 2026, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma. The Family of Judy Thompson invites you to come enjoy a light meal and refreshments, to reminisce, share memories and a few laughs with them.
