Poteau, OKLAHOMA – The Corps Paranormal Society from Poteau and the O.P.R.A. Paranormal Research Agency from Stigler revealed some of their finding of their paranormal investigation to the public. They held the investigation on February 9, 2019, and after hours of investigating and reviewing their findings, they discovered that not only is the historic hotel rich in history, but it also is rich in mystery.
Not all findings are from the hotel and could be related to some of the artifacts on display now or previously in the museum.
The two groups set up cameras, had listening devices and got several things they could not explain.
Their goal is to try and de-bunk the evidence they find.
In the case of the Lowrey Hotel – here a few things they could not de-bunk.
There was a flash of light caught on camera in the bridal room and on the staircase going up to the third floor. They were able to explain other flashes of light, but this one remains a mystery.

They also got an audio sound from several recorders on the third floor of the museum, but the evidence was not usable because it became contaminated with their own voices as they were setting up the equipment. According to one of the investigators, a name, Paul, was clearly heard.
There was also incredible evidence from the digital camera on the 2nd floor where the camera flash illumination was unexplainedly dimmed on successive photos.

Second floor activity near the presidential suite showed that a small piece of equipment had been moved from a showcase to a bench about 10 feet away and none of the investigators moved it and it didn’t go off like it should have when being moved.

One investigator has no explanation as she felt someone jerk her shirt and none of the other investigators were near her nor had touched her.
The paranormal teams
The group admits that they do get scared but that they try to stay put and continue the investigation. They said they would not try to provoke a spirit as it could cause further harm to the resident/occupant of a home/building. “We are not here to prove or disprove the paranormal exists. We are here to scientifically study the paranormal.”
CORPS is a paranormal group based in Poteau. They scientifically study not only haunting, but Big Foot, UFO’s, Aliens and other mythological creatures.
