Barbara Tunney, 81, passed away on February 14, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Barbara was born on August 8, 1944, in Ada, Oklahoma to parents Loyd and Viola (Pettigrew) Garrett. Barbra loved gardening and dearly loved her cats. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Loyd and Viola (Pettigrew) Garrett.
Barbara is survived by her son, Paul Garrett of Ada, Oklahoma; her daughters, Debra of California, Kathy of California and Barbara Solano of Poteau, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Khloe Rae, Gracelyn Soriana, Ledger and Emily Ann along with many other relatives, loved ones and friends.
The Celebration of Life Visitation for Barbara will be held from 2pm – 4pm on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at The Cedars on Dewey, 520 Dewey Ave, Poteau, Oklahoma 74953.
