Funeral Service for Charles “Hanky” Edward Fondren, Jr., 65 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 2:00pm on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro, Oklahoma with Pastor Charles Karch officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
Charles was born on June 4, 1956 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Frankie Mae (Morris) Fondren and Charles Edward Fondren, Sr. and passed away on March 29, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Fondren, Sr; mother, Frankie Fondren; sister, June Meadors; brothers, Robert “Bobby” Haralson and David Haralson.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Fondren; daughter, Gail Thomas and husband Mark; son, Charles Fondren and wife Christina; grandchildren, Matthew Thomas, Sophie Thomas, Hayden Jenson, Jessica Harris; sisters, Mary Turner and husband Bill, Betty Firestine, Sandy Roam, Teresa Jarrell and husband Bobby, Annetta Martin; brothers, Joe Haralson and wife Carol, Emmett Haralson and wife Carol, Danny Fondren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relative and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Mark Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Hayden Jenson, Ricky Fondren, Darrell Fondren, Ray Firestine, Shawn Firestine, Randy Martin, and Chris Strange.
Viewing and Visitation will be Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 12:00pm- 7:00pm with the family greeting from 5:00pm – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
