In Loving Memory of Clifford William Weaver
Clifford Weaver aka Da, a devoted husband, loving father, and passionate outdoorsman, passed away peacefully at home on November 12, 2023 as the age of 87. Born on May 22, 1936 in Williams, Ok. Clifford was a proud resident of Poteau, where he leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors.
Clifford retired from Johnson Control In 1998 after working 35 years. Clifford was a member of Poteau Masonic Lodge for 40 plus years.
Clifford leaves behind his children, Randy Weaver, wife Tanna Weaver and Ronda Weaver. Grandchildren Randall & Karen Weaver, Brandon & Angelia Weaver, Ashely & Philemon Ray, Hanna Weaver & Jeremy James. Clifford was blessed with 21 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great Great-Grandchild. He also leaves behind one brother Alford Weaver, his favorite hunting buddy, Clint Kirkendoll, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Clifford was preceded in death by his wife Bobby of 61 years of marriage, grandson Billy Wilson, 2 brothers Melford Weaver & Clifton Weaver and 3 sisters Goldie Fowler, Joyce Smith, & Silvia Weaver.
Clifford found his greatest joy in the quiet serenity of the woods and the soothing rhythm of flowing rivers. His love for deer hunting and fishing was not just a pastime; it was a way of life that he embraced wholeheartedly. Whether it was the crack of dawn in the mountains or the gentle flow of a stream, Clifford felt most alive when immersed in the beauty of nature.
Clifford will be remembered not only for his passion for the great outdoors but also for the kindness and generosity that touched the lives of all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the memories of friends and family, as well as in the beautiful landscapes he so dearly cherished.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Clifford W. Weaver will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
