Memorial Service for Connie Lee (Jackson) Phillips, 80 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Family Praise and Worship Center in Heavener, Oklahoma with Pastor Donald Benefield officiating.
Connie was born on July 24, 1943 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Oleta (Ross) Sinclair and SL Jackson and passed away on July 30, 2023 in Heavener, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Tommy Downing, Sr.; daughter Karen Sharum; sister, Barbara. Her and “Pop” loved going fishing together. She enjoyed gardening, and yard saleing.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Phillips; son, Robert Downing and wife Christy, Tommy Downing and wife Cindy; daughter, Mary Whitecotton and husband Sandy; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; brother, Danny Jackson and wife Faye; sister, Mary Dewitt; numerous other relatives and loved ones.
Cremation is under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
