Direct Burial for David Harold McGee, 70 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Hontubby Cemetery in Hontubby, Oklahoma with Alvin Branscum officiating. Services are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
David was born on October 1, 1952 in Kennett, MO to Ella Mae (Branscum) Yandell and Hubert Odell McGee and passed away on August 21, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert McGee; step-father, Bob Yandell; brothers, Tony McGee, and Terry McGee. David was an avid OU Sooners fan. He worked as a police officer and ran a logging company. He enjoyed deer hunting and loved fishing. He was a connoisseur of wives and a master pesterer. Most of all he loved his kids and grandkids. Fuzz will be missed by many.
Survivors include his daughters, Lacey Urchison and husband Jason, Barbara Helms and husband Corey; sons, William Mills and wife Lacey, Chris McGee and wife Cerese, Sam McGee and wife Melinda; sisters, Denise Stacy, Elisia Naylor, and Joyce Elsea; brothers, Royce McGee, Mike McGee, Russell McGee, Jeff McGee, and Randy Yandell. 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and loved ones.
