Memorial Service for Elizabeth Mae Newby, 93 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, OK with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, OK under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Elizabeth was born on December 22, 1929 in Seminole, OK to Opal (Dennis) Arthur and Edwin Arthur and passed away on September 1, 2023 in Pocola, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Jess Newby; Son Taylor Newby, Daughter-in-law Brenda Newby; siblings Tommie Byler, Marjorie Neal, Ruth Hartman, Bill Arthur, and Jack Arthur.
Survivors include her children Kenneth Newby and wife Brenda, Jessica Newby-Gregory and husband Larry, Richard Newby and wife Lisa; Grandchildren Donny Newby, Deena Mayle, Jessie Newby, Zach Mode, Malisha Robertson, Loney Gregory, Ashley Gregory, and Heath Gregory; Great Grandchildren Taelor Newby Collier, Alexandra Williams, Jacob Rolf, Danielle Mayle, Katelyn Mayle, and Matthew Mayle; 4 Great Great Grandchildren; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones, and friends.
