Funeral Service for Enie Tobler, Jr, 90, of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Spiro, Oklahoma with Pastor Josh McElyea officiating. Burial will follow at the Spiro City Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.

Enie was born on December 10, 1931 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Bertha Hazel (Crestman) Tobler and Ennie Tobler, Sr. He passed away on October 21, 2022 in Spiro, Oklahoma. Enie married Mavis Christine (Boyd) Tobler on June 27, 1952 in McAlester, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Donna Kerns; brothers Buddy Tobler, Billy Tobler; and sister Gail Shanahan. Enie joined the United States Air Force in March of 1949. He spent fifteen weeks of basic training at Lackman Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas where he earned the rank of Private First Class. He was then sent to Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado where he studied IBM systems for eighteen weeks. After passing the extensive requirements of IBM training, he was transferred to Warner Air Force Base in Macon, Georgia where he worked in the IBM department for one year. Enie was released from the service in 1950 and went to work in the IBM department at the Naval Ammunition Depot in McAlester, Oklahoma. This is where he met the love of his life, Mavis Boyd. He retired from the Spiro Fire Department and was a Spiro Businessman for 35 years. Enie will most be remembered for being a loyal husband, great father, wonderful grandfather, and trusted friend.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Mavis Tobler; son, Enie Tobler, III and wife Rhonda; son-in-law David Kerns; grandchildren Garon Kerns and wife Janelle, Kristin Perdue, and Chris Tobler and wife Michelle; great-grandchildren Tori Kerns, Jaxon Perdue, Adrion Kerns, Emma Perdue, and Scarlett Tobler; sisters Hazel Searcy, Gloria Brown, and Annette Smith; brother Jim Tobler; family friend Mary Hunter; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dobber Gamble, Ronnie Parent, Tom Tobler, Galen Sullins, Mark Cox, Sr, and Mark Cox, Jr.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 9am – 8pm with family greeting friends from 6pm – 8pm at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro.
