Roma Jandayan, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at the age of 88.

Roma was born on February 4, 1938, to Ruby Lane and Delbert Autry. She lived a full and meaningful life marked by hard work, determination, and an unwavering love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; her daughters, Cheryl and Candy; and her son, Tony. While their loss was deeply felt throughout her life, Roma carried their memories in her heart every day.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Rita Espinosa and Peggy Franklin; her children, Raen Judge, Thomas Judge, Rhonda Root, and Tonia Fiske; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

Throughout her life, Roma was known for her strong work ethic and caring nature. She spent many years owning and managing restaurants, where she built lasting friendships and touched countless lives through her hospitality and dedication. She also served her community as a social worker for Kern County in Bakersfield, California, helping others with compassion and kindness.

When she wasn’t working, Roma enjoyed sewing, playing bingo, and spending time with those she loved most. Whether creating something beautiful with her hands or sharing laughs around a bingo table, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Roma will be remembered as a feisty and fearless woman who faced life’s challenges with strength, determination, and a spirited sense of humor. She was never afraid to speak her mind, stand up for those she loved, or lend a helping hand to someone in need. Her resilience, warmth, and love for her family created a legacy that will live on for generations.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing that her love, wisdom, and unforgettable spirit will remain in their hearts forever.

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.”
