Funeral Service for James Cleo Shockley, 64 of Fort Smith, Arkansas will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Mallory-Martin Chapel in Spiro, Oklahoma with Pastor Trey Pollard officiating. Burial will follow at Spiro City Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.He was born on May 6, 1958 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Jewel Mary (Stephens) Shockley and William Henry Shockley and passed away on August 12, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Margaret “Peggy” (Moir) Shockley on September 6, 1991 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. James was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jewel Shockley and brother, Doyle Shockley. He loved hunting and building and racing race cars. James worked as a communications technician for Arkansas Valley Communications formerly PEI of Fort Smith, Arkansas.Survivors include his wife, Peggy Shockley; daughter, Stephanie Krouse; sisters, Janie Smith and husband Earl, Mary Bourne, Sarah Sockey, Etta Gibson; brother, Edward Shockley, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.Pallbearers will be James Casey, Stacy Bourne, Tracy Bourne, Gary Parker, Bryan Morrow, and Tracey Murray.
