He was married to Linda(Tarpley) Pritchett on November 9, 1963 in Hodgen, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson Zachary Pritchett. Mike was a deeply cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. For over fifty years, he was an integral part of First Baptist Church in Poteau, OK, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher, embodying a steadfast faith in God. His dedication extended to Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief, reflecting his commitment to helping others.
An avid outdoorsman, Mike loved hunting, fishing, and embracing nature. His generosity knew no bounds, whether it was brush hogging a neighbor’s land, caring for a widow, or preparing meals for his church and disaster relief efforts. To us, his greatest role was as a father, but his impact went far beyond. He was also a loyal friend, a respected coworker and colleague, a supportive cousin and brother, a surrogate father figure, a skilled handyman, and a passionate gardener. Mike’s influence and kindness touched countless lives in ways that words can scarcely capture.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Linda Pritchett; sons John Pritchett and wife Kelly, and Jeffery Pritchett; daughter Amy McLemore and husband French; grandchildren Bailey Kirk and husband Timothy, Cal Pritchett, Bethany McLemore, and Caleb Pritchett; brothers Pete Pritchett and wife Becky, and Donnie Pritchett; sister Tammy Pritchett; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones, and friends.
