Funeral Service for Larry Martin, 75 of Bokoshe, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Point Cemetery in Shady Point, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Larry was born on October 4, 1947 in Panama, Oklahoma to Lorene (Pirece) Martin and Irby Martin and passed away on February 7, 2023 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma. He was married to Donna Martin on February 10, 2015 in Poteau, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Loraine Martin; paternal grandparents, Virgil and Minnie Martin; maternal grandparents, Luther and Myrtle Pierce; sister, Sandra Martin. Larry enjoyed camping, fishing for catfish, and going hunting in the deer woods with family.
Survivors include his wife, Donna K. Martin; daughter, Jacque Martin of Panama, Oklahoma; son, Virgil Martin of Panama, Oklahoma, stepson, Chris Morton and wife April of Poteau, Oklahoma; sisters, Kiane Dian Anderson and Dennis of Poteau, Oklahoma, Janie Sutton and husband George of Coweta, Oklahoma; brother, David Martin of Manford, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Charlee Martin; step grandchildren, Jaxon and Trey Rye, Issiah, William, Sammy, and Maddie.
Pallbearers will be Chris Morton, Daniel Sutton, Kevin Moss, Kevin Poor, Bobby Martin, Don Martin, Justin Adams, and Joe Sutton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be George Sutton, Jim Montessi, and Dennis Anderson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
