Mary Joyce Conrad, 82, of Greenwood, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 31, 1942, in Pocola, Oklahoma to Harlow Karl and Juanita (McLaughlin) Karl.
A devoted member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Greenwood for 45 years, Mary found great joy and purpose in serving her church and community. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, and her kind, gentle spirit touched the lives of many. More than anything, Mary treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Mary is survived by her loving daughters, Tamera Floyd and husband Brad, and Tanya Cusick and husband Rick; her beloved grandchildren, Heather Wynn and husband Nolan, Michael Cusick and wife Christine, Brandon Jordan and fiancée Candy Dulce-Torres, and Breanna Hess and husband Marc; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Jason Wynn, Josiah Wynn, Anna Cusick, Bentley Hess, Paisley Cusick, Brooke Cusick, Nyla Jordan, and Catalina Jordan. She is also survived by her brother Joey Karl, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sumler Conrad; grandsons Douglas Seamans and Blake Seamans; her parents, Harlow and Juanita Karl; her brothers, James, Fritz, and Wendell Karl; and her sister, Virginia McKinney.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at First Freewill Baptist Church in Greenwood, Arkansas, with Nolan Wynn officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola,, Oklahoma.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Evans and Miller Funeral Home in Pocola, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Jordan, Michael Cusick, Russell Thomas, Marc Hess, Steve Coleman, and Brad Floyd.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Cusick, Gerald Thomas, and Joey Karl.
