Patsy Elizabeth Hall, 76, passed away on June 08, 2025, in Poteau, Oklahoma. Patsy was born on July 31, 1948, in Heavener, Oklahoma to parents Emmit and Darlene (Curtis) Forehand. Affectionately known as “Gurney” to all her grand and great grandchildren, Gurney or Patsy loved spending time with her family. She spent many years in the Home Health industry and eventually retired. But of course, she couldn’t stay retired long, Patsy’s servant heart and love for taking care of others, she decided to become a private caregiver. She was a “One of a Kind” person, that never valued the material things of this world but put all she had in loving her family and helping others. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother Harvey Joe “Butch” Forehand, and her brother Doug Forehand.

Patsy is survived by her sons Joe Don Dawes and wife Dawnetta of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Dusty Dawes and wife Melissa of Monroe, Oklahoma, her grandchildren Gabby Gottsponer and husband Wrangler, Karissa Huffman and husband Jeremy, Joe Dawes and wife Lakota, Shawn Bradley, Morgan Bradley, Maggie Dawes, Samuel Dawes, Jacob Dawes, Eli Dawes, and Charity Dawes, 11 great grandchildren, her sisters Carol Sue Johnson of Poteau, Oklahoma, Donna Kornegay of McAlester, Oklahoma, and Janet Forehand of Lake City, Florida, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life Services for Patsy will be held 5pm – Thursday, June 12, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma with Pastor Brad Hill officiating. The Family of Patsy Hall with greet friends at the conclusion of her service, also in The Cedars on Dewey.
