Paula was known for her unique mind, enduring kindness, and incredible generosity. She lived a quiet yet fulfilling life working hard and supporting her loved ones. Those who knew her will remember how well she served God and others, and how much she loved and cared for her family. Paula was deeply sincere in her love and faith, and was dedicated to living as Jesus called her to live; in service of others.
She is survived by her mother Martha Sue Cox of Stoney Point, Oklahoma, nephew Sean and wife Janelle Cox of Spiro, Oklahoma; niece Felicia Cox and partner Brian Weindel of Barling, Arkansas; great-nephew Caleb Cox; great-niece Aslyn Cox; great-nephew Ethan Weindel; great-nephew Brendan Weindel; sister by choice, JoAnn Green and husband Danny Green of Cameron, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her father Howard Cox; sister Kelly Cox; brother David Cox; and sister-in-law Vickie Cox.
Paula loved doing little things that brought her family joy. She especially enjoyed attending live music concerts with her sister, nephews, and nieces. For Paula, life was fulfilling in the little things like holidays with family, good food, and fresh air. Her unique perspective and quirky
personality made meeting her an unforgettable experience. Her smile, sweet voice, and generous spirit were truly a treasure to all those closest to her.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 3:00pm at Cameron Gospel Lighthouse. Pastor Danny Green officiating, accompanied by Paula’s nephew, Sean Cox.
Flowers are welcome and will bring cheer to her mother for whom she worked so hard to care and provide until her last breath and can be sent to Holt Funeral Home in Poteau, OK or Cameron Gospel Lighthouse in Cameron, OK. Charitable donations in Paula’s memory to animal rescues or drug rehabilitation programs are welcome in honor of her legacy of generosity, passionate service to others, and deep concern for the wellbeing of her community.
Paula will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
