Graveside Service for Reverend Jerry Turner of Keota, Oklahoma will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Keota Cemetery in Keota, Oklahoma with Reverend Larry Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Keota Cemetery in Keota, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
Jerry was born on August 4, 1950 in Cowlington, Oklahoma to Maxey William and Ethel Ray (VanGundy) Turner and passed away on May 27, 2022 in Keota, Oklahoma. He was married to Joyce Ann (Kemp) Turner on May 10, 1969 in Keota, Oklahoma at the First Baptist Church. Jerry was Pastor of Perry Chapel Baptist Church at Hodgen, Oklahoma until recently. He met the love of his life when he was just ten years old, pursued her all through elementary, married her after high school, and built an amazing life with her that lasted 54 years. Jerry was always giving to those in need and he was was faithful to friends, family, and his Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Maxey and Ethel Turner, his beloved wife Joyce, and brothers, Earl, Curtis, Jack, and Bill Turner. Survivors include one daughter Heather Surdukan and husband Brent; one son, Chris Turner; five grandchildren, John and Tonie Turner, Gabriel, Annie, and Maximus Surdukan: three great grandchildren, Paisleigh, Talia, and Trelyn Turner; one sister Faye Redwine and husband John; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Turner, Brent Surdukan, Gabe Surdukan, Wesley Kemp, John Turner and Ron Barraw.
