Robert John Puhrmann, 77, of Bokoshe, OK passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 in Ft. Smith, AR. Bob was born November 15, 1943 in Shreveport, LA to Melvin & Clara (Nies) Puhrmann. He grew up in Bonesteel, SD. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Bob worked 33 years as a telephone man and after retirement he found a new career as a mailman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Freda Mae in March 2008; his parents; and brother, John.
Survivors include his daughters & sons in law, Becky & Michael Brown, of Bokoshe, OK, Diana Goins of Bokoshe, OK, Lynn & Eric Donaho of Wister, OK; grandchildren, Kristi & Rickey McConnell, Jacki & Blain Blaylock, Josh Brown, Zach Brown, Ashlyn Donaho; great grandkids, Madden & Harper McConnell, Kentsli, Zaybri & Nash Blaylock; sister, Mary Johnson of Nebraska; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau with Michael Monroe officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bokoshe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Butch Lovell, Mickey Haslip, Josh Brown, Zach Brown, Rickey McConnell & Blain Blaylock. The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
Because of Bob’s love of reading; in lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to Spiro Public Library in his honor.
