Sammy Glenn Lile, Jr. of Midwest City, Oklahoma was born October 1, 1933 in Hodgen, Oklahoma to Glenn and Bessie Lile. Sammy made his final flight from this earth and into heaven on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 86. He was a 1951 graduate of Heavener High School.

Charles Lile of Heavener, Oklahoma
Bing and Debbie Lile of Longview, Texas
Three sister-in-laws; three brother-in-laws; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews and friends
He was preceded in death by his only daughter, Becky McKinney; grandsons, Chad Lile and Wesley Rains; his parents; and two brothers. Sammy was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force where he served for 23 years which included the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. Sammy was a licensed ordained minister, ordained deacon and certified real estate broker. He was joint owner of Diamond Four Real Estate in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was a beloved fan of OU Sooner Football and loved to attend Media Day each spring with his grandson. The highlight of his year was going to Texas in October to watch the OU/Texas game with his brothers and family. Sammy will be dearly missed by many who loved and knew him. In honor of his love for OU football, guests are encouraged to wear crimson and cream.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020, at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma. Presiding over his service will be his loyal friend, Pastor Forest Weast. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be from Noon until 6:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
