Sue Ollar of Glendale, Oklahoma was born March 10, 1944 in Glendale, Oklahoma to Jake and Clara (Balentine) Goble and passed away August 22, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 79.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Opal Ollar; one son, Jimmy Ollar; one grandson, Joshua Ollar, one brother, Larry Goble, one sister-in-law, Elaine Washburn; and one brother-in-law, Alton Washburn. Sue was a life-long resident of the area and a member of the Independence Baptist Church in Heavener. She was a 1962 graduate of Wister High School, and obtained her Associates Degree from Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma.
Sue loved to cruise and travel to almost all of the United States and to many foreign countries. She cruised to the west Mediterranean and visited Spain, Monaco, Italy including Rome with the Coliseum and St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel with Michael Angelo’s painting on the ceiling, Pisa with the leaning tower, the French Rivera with Marseille, and the prison island where the Count of Monte Cristo was held. Sue also visited Aruba, Curacao, Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Belize, Mexico, Canada, and almost all of the Eastern Caribbean Islands, including the Bahamas Islands and Jamaica.
Sue loved to fish and caught many nice stringers of fish. She was also a great shot and passed the requirements to receive a license to carry a concealed weapon. Sue loved cooking, and enjoyed gardening, canning, and making pickles. She also enjoyed working by M.C.’s side on various projects, including building five of their homes.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2023 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Sam Dyer, Reverend Tim Trent, and Mr. Pete Cepeda officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home
of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: William Ollar, Jordan Wasson, Jeff Goble, Ron Grover, Jr., Davidson Ollar, and Laran Patterson
Honorary pallbearers will be: Ron Grover, Sr., Bunk Goble, J.D. Ollar, H.L. Watkins, Aud Balentine, Pete Cepeda, and Marvin Vaughn
Viewing will be from Noon until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, with the family visiting with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
