Funeral Service for Tony B. Smith, 81 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 1:00pm on March 7, 2020 at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Spiro City Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
Tony was born on August 8, 1938 in Keota, Oklahoma to Mary Ellen (Long) Smith and George Elijah Smith and passed away on March 3, 2020 in Spiro, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; George and Mary Smith, sister, Betty Simpson, brothers; Omar Smith, Gerald Smith, Ken Smith, and Dub Smith. Tony enjoyed working around the house and farming but spent over 40 years of his life on a drilling rig in the oilfield, where he was known as “Papa Smurf”.
Survivors are: daughters; Robin Brinkley, Lisa McGehee, sons; Paul McGehee (Lanell), Delbert Underwood (Lana), Anthony Smith (Tara-Jill), sisters; Joyce Jones(Utah), Carol Miller, Susie Hamby (Geary), Eunice Corbell, brothers; Don Smith (Mary), Jerry P. Smith (Ella), grandchildren; Leona, Cheyenne, Robert, Richard, Kristopher, Mirranda, Suzie, Samuel, Lindsey, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Smith, Ricky Don French, Greg Smith, Harold Jones, Tommy Miller, and Allen Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewey Don Smith, Jr., Lonnie Smith, Steve Smith, Jimmy Lee Smith, Bill Smith, David Corbell, and Michael Corbell.
Viewing will be Friday March 6, 2020 from 9am – 7pm, the family will greet friends from 5pm -7pm at the funeral home.
