Willard L. Wilkerson passed from this life on October 25, 2022 at the age of 91 years old. He was born in Hugo, OK on June 30, 1931 to Irene (Fatherree) and Jack Wilkerson.

Willard loved riding horses, tending his cattle, and being an all around cowboy. He worked grading roads until the age of 90, and was the type of person who loved to keep himself busy with work. When Willard wasn’t working, he enjoyed visiting friends and family, playing a good game of moon, and watching rodeos. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Willard is preceded in death by his parents: Jack and Irene Wilkerson; mother of his children: Edna Wilkerson; daughter: Linda “Pudge” Barnes; granddaughter: Lynnetta “Ned” Houston; four sisters; two brothers; and son-in-law: Ronnie Ivey.

He is survived by his spouse: Dona Wilkerson; children: Billy Jack Wilkerson and companion Cindy Akard of Antlers, OK, Lajauana Milam and husband Phil of Ardmore, OK, and Karen Ivey of Wister, OK; brothers: Merle Wilkerson of Hugo, OK, and Jerry Don Wilkerson of Mt. Vernon, TX; grandchildren: Kelli Shaw, Brody Wilkerson, Chad Wilkerson, Cody Wilkerson, Kami Wilkerson, Ladonna McQuistion, Chris Houston, Dustin Lawless, and Jason Ivey, as well as 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Special thanks to family friend Justin Vicars for the handcrafted casket.

A family night will be held from 2-4PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Serenity Funeral Service, 145 W Main Street, Antlers.

Funeral Service will take place at 3:30PM on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Serenity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers include: Brody Wilkerson, Chad Wilkerson, Cody Wilkerson, Chris Houston, Dustin Lawless, Jason Ivey, Braden Shaw, Tucker Lawless, and Reed Shaw. Honorary Pallbearers include: Brock Hopson, Gene Allen, Hal Brame, Dwight Duncan, Stance Frizzell, Michael Brittingham and crew, Donald Ray Kinder, Billy Smallwood, Johnny Self, Charley Self, LD Sullivan, and Glenn Graham.

The family has entrusted the services with Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
