Winfred Estes was born on February 6, 1938, in Wister, Oklahoma to Mamie Eva (Baldwin) Estes and Archie Charles Estes. He passed away on May 7, 2026, in Wister, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Janette Johnson, on November 14, 1958, in Borger, Texas, and together they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage.
Winfred was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Charles Estes, Warren Estes, and Elwood Estes. He proudly served as a member of the Texas National Guard. He retired from Phillips Petroleum after working there 35 years. Winfred enjoyed spending time working on his property and caring for his cows, a way of life he truly loved.
He is survived by his wife, Janette Estes; sons, Gary Don Estes and wife Sandy, and Joe Dale Estes and wife Stacy; grandchildren, Malorie Estes and Clyde Young, Mackenzi Estes, Justin Estes and wife Taylor, and Taylor Estes; great-granddaughters, Savannah, Emma, and Chloe; brothers, Linden Estes and wife Mary, and Robert Coleman Estes; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
