RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC women’s basketball players of the week for the third week of the season. Ouachita Baptist’s Madeleine Tipton captured the Offensive Player of the Week honor and Arkansas Tech’s Dessie Lancaster garnered the Defensive Player of the Week award.

#theGAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Madeleine Tipton, G, Ouachita Baptist, Sr., Vilonia, Arkansas
Tipton led the Tigers in scoring in wins against Missouri Western State and Arkansas-Fort Smith. She tallied a game-high 21 points against the Griffons. She made 5-of-6 free throws down the stretch as the Tigers scored the game’s final nine points. She added seven rebounds and six assists. She went 5-for-9 from the 3-point arc as part of a 24-point effort against the Lions.

#theGAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Dessie Lancaster, F, Arkansas Tech, So., Mount Vernon, Arkansas
Lancaster helped the Golden Suns defeat Delta State, 77-75, to improve to 4-0 for the first time in a full season since 2017-18. She grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds – 10 on the defensive side – as she recorded her first double-double of the season. She added two steals.
