The School Wide Spelling Bee was held on Tuesday, January 28th, 2020 at the Pansy Kidd Middle School. There were 11 students representing 6th-8th grade.

The Bee ended with Brooklyn Balido as the top speller in Pansy Kidd Middle School! Balido was also the top speller in the 2018-2019 Bee.

Desirae Collins was the runner-up, and both girls will be representing our school at the Muskogee Civic Center on April 3rd for the 11th Annual Eastern Oklahoma State Spelling Bee.

Alex Armstrong will be our third place representative in the absence of Brooklyn or Desirae.

This year’s champion will receive $1,000.00 for his or her school and a $500.00 cash price.

Second place will receive $500.00 for his or her school and a $250.00 cash prize.

Third place student will receive $250.00 for their school and $100.00 cash prize. The grand prize winner will also receive two club seating tickets to the last home basketball game for the Oklahoma City Thunder!


The 11th Annual Eastern Oklahoma State Spelling Bee is quite the event!

They include a hospitality room with a variety of food items, soft drinks, and snacks for all contestants, family members, and special guests to enjoy.

All contestants will have the opportunity to win watches, tablets, headphones, gift baskets, and other fantastic prizes during the first intermission.


PKMS encourages everyone to come and support the winners on Friday, April 3rd, 2020 at the Muskogee Civic Center!

Registration starts at 4:00 pm with the competition beginning at 6:30 pm.
