POTEAU OKLAHOMA – Educator Tarah Lamb was selected as the Poteau Public Schools 2024 Teacher of the Year.
Lamb, who teaches STEM and Robotics at the 7th and 8th Grade Center was not only awarded that distinguished honor but was also given a free flight around Poteau in a Cessna 172 plane by (Retired) Poteau School Superintendent Dr. Don Sjoberg.
Lamb along with her guest, Arielle Perry, Art Teacher at the 7th and 8th Grade Center took to the sky on August 21.
Sjorberg wanted to give Lamb a new experience for all her hard work and dedication to the students she teaches. The flight started at the Robert S Kerr Airport and they flew around Poteau seeing the sights from the friendly sky.
