Spiro High School BPA is hosting their 9th Annual Gold-Out Cupcake War on Friday, January 27th starting at 6 p.m. The Cupcake War takes place during the Spiro/Poteau basketball game. This event is being held to raise awareness of childhood cancer funding.

BPA members have chosen the theme “They Fight Like Heroes, We Should Be Theirs!” and designed the t-shirt for this year’s event. Some t-shirts will be sold during the event.

Students, organizations, & teachers will compete in the Cupcake War which will take place during the games. You can contribute to the cause by making a donation or buying a cupcake from your favorite team or teams.

Proceeds from the Cupcake war and the gate will be donated to St. Baldrick’s Foundation for childhood cancer research.

We encourage all childhood cancer “survivors”, “warriors”, and “forever angel family members” to attend the game and be recognized during half-time of the girls’ game. If you would like to attend, please contact Carrie Covey at 918-962-2493 or email at ccovey@spiro.k12.ok.us.
