The LeFlore County Quilt Show is coming soon!

This annual event will be held at the Kiamichi Technology Center, next to Carl Albert State College in Poteau on June 4-5, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The public is invited to come view these beautiful quilted creations and attend the free demonstrations. Admission is free. Lunch is available onsite and is $5.00. All proceeds go to fund the OHCE High School Scholarships, presented annually to a county high school senior.

As part of the Quilt Show activities, instructional demonstrations will be given. The schedule of these demonstrations is as follows:

Friday:

10:00 a.m. Making Angels from Corn Husks, Oyuki Alba

11:00 a.m. Shaggy Quilts, Bettye Glinski

1:00 p.m. Weighted Pin Cushion Bags, Debbie Christie

2:00 p.m. Make Your Own Note Cards, Diana Grindstaff

Saturday:

10:00 a.m. A Little Gardening Fun, Renee’ Fisher

11:00 a.m. How to Mass Produce Half Square Triangles, Jean Olsen

1:00 p.m. Making Snowflakes From Hangers, Audrey Underwood

2:00 p.m. Making Appliques, Barbara Morris

Drawings for door prizes will be held after each class.

The drawing for the quilt to be given away will be Saturday afternoon.
