According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a fatality collision occurred 10/19/2022 at approximately 9:30 am on United States Highway 259 approximately 6.7 miles east and 3.4 miles south of Muse in LeFlore County.

According to the report, a 2017 Volvo Truck, driven by Christopher O. Britford, 37, from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was transported by Air Evac to St Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, AR with head and trunk-internal injuries and was admitted in stable condition.

Passengers: Arrie Matthews 31, from Columbus, Georgia was transported by McAlester Air Care to St Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, AR with head and trunk-internal injuries and was admitted in stable condition.Three juvenile males ages 6, 8, and 9 from Columbus, GA were pronounced dead at the scene with trunk-internal injuries.

They were transported by Dowden Funeral Home to Tulsa.

Medical Examiner responded to the scene.
The accident is still under investigation

Investigated OHP, LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office, Big Cedar Fire Dept, Whitesboro Fire Depart, Post Mountain Fire Dept, Hodgen Fire Dept, and LeFlore County EMS.
