Alice Imogene Ellis of Monroe, Oklahoma was born June 22, 1940 in Gorman, Texas to James Floyd and Lona Ellen (Rowan) Ellis and passed away April 27, 2025 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 84.

Alice is survived by:

One daughter:

Janet L. Bledsoe and husband Tom of McAlester, Oklahoma

Three sons:

James E. Blake and wife Ruth of Poteau, Oklahoma

Thomas K. Blake and wife Christine of Panama, Oklahoma

Dwain L. Morphis of Monroe, Oklahoma

One sister:

Connie Ellis of Austin, Texas

One brother:

Jimmy Ellis of Austin, Texas

Nine Grandchildren:
Benjamin Blake, Andrea Branam, Ryan Christie, Amanda Christie, Zach Bledsoe, Reanna Bledsoe, Karissa Morphis, and Gina Burnett

Ten great-grandchildren:

Genica Christie, Javen Coleman, Jaidyn Bledsoe, Darius Redway, Olivia Christie, Zaxtan Christie, Kaitlyn Lomon, Brooklyn Collins, Lilliana Jimenez, and Kayegen Morphis

Numerous other loved ones and a host of friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ellen Ellis; one brother, Charles O. Ellis; and her Grandson Mikal Morphis.

Alice, a cherished longtime resident of the area, was a devoted homemaker who truly embraced life. Her love for family and friends filled her days with joy and laughter.

Alice’s warm spirit and kindness will leave a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
