RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the GAC women’s and men’s cross country runners of the week for the second weekend of the season. Harding’s Vivien Kipkorir and Ryan McCarn captured the respective honors following their performances at the Steve Guymon Invitational

#theGAC WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Vivien Kipkorir, Fr., Harding, Iten, Kenya
Kipkorir claimed an individual title in her debut with the Lady Bisons. She crossed the finish line in a time of 18:33.2. She finished 19 seconds ahead of teammate Josie Parks. The Lady Bisons placed four inside the top 10 en route to a team score of 27 points and a 29-point victory.

#theGAC MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Ryan McCarn, Jr., Harding, Liberty Hill, Texas
McCarn finished third after he posted the best four-mile time of his career, 20:09.0. The time ranks fourth on the Bisons’ all-time list. He helped the Bisons capture a team title after six finished in the top 10. Harding scored a 15-point win ahead of second-place Little Rock.
